Location: Morena, Madhya Pradesh
Duration: Minimum 4 months
Time Commitment: 15-20 hours per week

About the Role
As a Heritage Documentation Assistant, you will work with our research team to document and preserve traditional knowledge systems in the Chambal region. This role involves fieldwork, interviews, and digital archiving under the guidance of experienced researchers.
Key Responsibilities
Volunteers in this role will:
- Assist with field visits to document traditional knowledge
- Help conduct interviews with knowledge holders and elders
- Support audio and video recording and documentation
- Help with transcription and translation of recorded materials
- Assist with digital archiving and organization of knowledge materials
- Participate in community validation and feedback sessions
- Help prepare educational materials from documented knowledge
Qualifications & Skills
We're looking for volunteers who have:
- Interest in anthropology, history, or cultural studies
- Good listening and interpersonal skills
- Respect for elders and traditional knowledge holders
- Basic understanding of research ethics
- Willingness to travel to rural areas for fieldwork
- Basic computer skills for documentation work
- Patience, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Respect for local culture and traditions
